Welcome to TESCO Skip Bins. These Terms and Conditions govern the use of our website and skip bin rental service. By booking a service with us, you agree to be bound by these legally binding terms.

1. Our Service

We offer skip bin rental services for the disposal of various waste types in Brisbane, as specified on our website. The standard rental period is 10 calendar days, unless otherwise agreed upon.

2. Pricing and Payments

2.1. All prices listed on our website are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include Goods and Services Tax (GST).

2.2. The prices displayed in our “All Our Skip Bin Sizes” section are for a standard 10-day rental and include the specified weight limit for each bin and waste type.

2.3. Additional Charges: You agree to pay any charges exceeding the initial quote, including but not limited to:

a) Excess Weight: Any weight exceeding the included limit will be charged at a rate of AUD 35.00 per 100 kg.

c) Rental Extension: Additional days beyond the standard 10-day period will be charged at AUD 10.00. AUD 45.00 for deliveries outside our standard 70 km radius from Brisbane city center.

e) Prohibited Items: A contamination or disposal fee may apply if prohibited items are found in the bin (see Section 4).

2.4. Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your order.

3. Customer Obligations

3.1. Access: You must ensure clear, safe, and legal access for our delivery truck to the specified delivery location. We are not responsible for any property damage (e.g., driveways, lawns, pavements) resulting from our vehicle accessing the site as per your instructions.

3.2. Bin Placement and Council Permits: If the bin is to be placed on public land (e.g., public nature strip, roadway), you are solely responsible for obtaining and paying for any necessary permits from the relevant local council prior to delivery. We reserve the right to refuse delivery if a valid permit is not provided.

3.3. Filling the Bin: The bin must not be filled above the top rim. Overloaded bins are a safety hazard and cannot be legally transported. We may, at our discretion, remove excess waste and leave it on the property, or charge an additional fee to arrange a second pickup.

3.4. Weight Limits: You must not exceed the maximum weight limits specified for the bin size and waste type. Heavy materials like soil, concrete, or bricks should only be placed in bins designated as “Clean Fill” or “Concrete” and must adhere to the specified tonnage.

4. Prohibited Waste Materials

For safety and environmental reasons, it is strictly prohibited to place the following items in any of our bins:

  • Asbestos (of any type)
  • Batteries
  • Gas bottles or cylinders
  • Liquid waste (oils, paints, chemicals)
  • Hazardous or toxic materials
  • Food waste (unless in a designated General Waste bin)
  • Tires
  • Tree stumps (over 30 cm in diameter)

The discovery of prohibited items will result in contamination fees and additional disposal charges.

5. Cancellation and Refunds

Our Refund and Cancellation Policy is available as a separate document on our website and forms part of these Terms and Conditions. Please review it for details on cancellation timeframes and applicable fees.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, including the Australian Consumer Law, our liability for any claim, loss, or damage arising from our Service is limited to the price you paid for that Service. We are not responsible for any indirect or consequential loss.
